State of the Bay Report 2005

The first of the Barnegat Bay Partnership's bay-wide assessments was conducted in 2005 and focused on six indicators selected by the Science and Technical Advisory Committee.  The report looks at trends in submerged aquatic vegegation, shellfish bed closures, bathing beach closures, algal blooms, freshwater inputs, and land use - land cover.  The status and trends of these key environmental characteristics can be used to monitor the progress of efforts to protect and restore estaurine resources.
