State of the Bay report 2016

Every five years the BBP conducts an assessment of the bay's condition based on a suite of indicators that have been measured through time.  Taken together, these measurable characteristics provide a picture of the overall health of the Barnegat Bay. Click here to read and download the State of the Bay Report 2016. A Spanish-language version of the report is also available online.  Watch the BBP's State of the Bay video to get a great overview of the report's findings and learn what's next for plans to protect and restore the bay.

In conjunction with the release of the 2016 State of the Bay Report, the BBP hosted a State of the Bay Conference on June 15, 2016.  This free conference was held in the Gateway Building Lecture Hall of Ocean County College from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Join us to learn about the latest trends in the 17 indicators used to assess the condition of the bay.  Click here for more information about the conference.
